Wearing Naked sun swimwear while having fun under the sun. The X marks the spot not just on my back, but on the map for this gem I found in Cagayan Valley in the Northeast tip of the Philippines.
Imagine an endless stretch of white sand beach with not a soul in sight. This is where the lush green forest meets the sea. The only sounds are of the whistling breeze and the waves crashing onto the shore.
I stepped out of the car and smiled to see what I had only read about the on the beautiful pristine beaches of Cagayan Valley. I suddenly found myself fumbling for my camera and chasing after a wild bird that was gliding low hunting for food. When I stopped to rest on a rock, the sand around my feet started to move! Hundreds of hermit crabs were crawling on the surface of the sand! It was incredible to feel the life around me. I wanted to see more so I stopped at every beach from the surf spot of Pozo Robo and the fine white sands of Anguib, to the mangroves and small islands facing Gotan.
I confess, I love the comforts of a fancy resort but nothing beats seeing a piece paradise the way nature intended us to see.
