Here I am picking up my blog backlog again! As much as I’d like to be up to date on my posts, I had to get back into the daily grind. I needed awaken my sleeping brain cells after that aah… aahmazing 3 week vacation. It’s great to be back home and to work! What I did not miss are the flash floods that have been turning my 35-minute commute home into a 3-hour agonizing car ride. Any longer than that, better just take me directly to the nearest insane asylum. What kept me sane in the car was my laptop and the task of putting together photos for this blog post. I find it therapeutic to transport my mind into to a calm and relaxing place. I kept wishing I was back in our lovely Villa in Bali, but for now, the photos will do!
From the start of the trip, I felt so lucky when Agoda booked me in not just one, but two amazing properties in Bali. I thought that was the end of my luck, but to my surprise the guest officer at Wolas Villas in Seminyak told me they will give me one of their bigger villas! I was jumping for joy (but only in the inside as I didn’t want to seem too eager)! Then it was when the manager called to tell me that there is a complimentary massage for two, and car service provided… that I wanted to run out to buy a lottery ticket (okay, I didn’t push my luck anymore)! The villa at Wolas is a honeymooners dream. You can run around the villa butt naked and no one will care (I can’t guarantee this though as I didn’t try it out myself)! One more thing that I enjoyed very much is that all breakfasts are served in your villa. I think it is a luxury not having to dress up for breakfast at hotels. The hubby and I didn’t want to leave our little paradise but we also couldn’t refuse a good cocktail and good food and the Rock bar in Ayana was recommended for just that and the view. The view! The view! The view was breathtaking! Even before getting in the funicular I kept clicking the camera. The sun didn’t come out to say good night but It was okay since I didn’t want the night to end either.
So tell me, how do you escape from your daily grind?
