It’s hard enough to get ready in the morning without having to think, “Damn, I have nothing to wear to work today.” It gets even harder when you have to be in several events and places to go after work. This is my daily reality! As an entertainment journalist, I sometimes need to be in several events in one day. My solution is not to overthink things.. and just dress up (or down) whatever I wear to work. Here is an example of the work wear that is taken from a day to night look by losing the shirt and blazer. How do you do your day to night look?

“Thanks for sweeping the floor!” This is just one of the wisecracks I expected to hear when I walked into the newsroom wearing my bell bottom/ flared jeans. My work place is full of comedians and I enjoy everyone’s witty remarks. I have never taken offense and actually I have gotten so used to hearing all sorts of jokes about my outfits ..so many that a lot have gotten old. The thing that most don’t realize is that what I wear is not much different from what most of my workmates wear. Take this outfit for example; just a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. To make it a bit different, I threw in a structured kimono which took the look to another level.
